I paint organic and cellular forms, bold in color and rich in texture. I use the "cell" as a metaphoric vehicle to define and inquire on the importance of the individual. I create layers through a direct application of pigment from the tube. The forms I produce, both ask and answer questions visually. I rediscover layers by using paint thinner, revealing a history of color and form. The final product is essentially a record of my desire for an understanding on a more intimate level.
